This session will explore the Government’s vision for strengthening Guyana’s financial ecosystem through the continued evolution of the banking sector, development financing initiatives and expanded access to capital aimed at supporting local business growth, investment and participation. It will also examine how the evolving financial landscape — including the proposed Guyana Development Bank and the introduction of new international financial institutions — can contribute to building a more responsive and globally competitive financial environment capable of supporting Guyana’s long-term economic transformation.
